Electrons on Solid Neon

Long coherence quantum memory using charge and spin states

Solid neon provides an even cleaner substrate than liquid helium. Electrons trapped on solid neon show exceptionally long coherence times for both charge and spin states, making this system a promising platform for quantum memory.

We use NbTiN nanowire resonators to probe and control these electrons at millikelvin temperatures.
